Top Golf in Las Vegas is a phenomenal experience for anyone who has even a minimal interest in golf. I am not an avid golfer, but I like to do a few rounds here and there; but Top Golf was extremely fun. Top Golf is behind MGM Grand, and almost feels like you’re golfing off a casino rooftop in Las Vegas.
When we got to Top Golf, we had to wait about twenty minutes, but there are plenty of couches to sit on, you can order drinks, watch TV and soak up the atmosphere while waiting. Surprisingly, the beer is cheaper at Top Golf than in the casino too. After a beer, soaking up the vibes and listening to the music, we were called to our bay. There are 4 levels at Top Golf, and the levels have an impact on the price. The first floor is the cheapest, but you don’t get much of a view. The third and fourth floor are the most expensive, so we settled on the second floor. The view was good, and the price was good too. We paid $75 for the bay for the hour, split three ways. That was weekend pricing which costs more due to peak hours. The time of day you go, and the day of the week will impact the price, so plan accordingly, but regardless, Top Golf will be worth the price.
The service was good, with our own personal waitress who brought us drinks and food upon request. The food was reasonably priced, and we ordered the Cheesy Macaroni Bites which were delicious and a perfect bite sized snack.
And of course, there’s the golf. In addition to being served good food, drinks and a good atmosphere, you are golfing in Las Vegas, hitting balls off (one of the floors) onto the green while looking at the MGM grand. Since you’re in Las Vegas, you probably didn’t bring your clubs, but there are plenty of clubs available at each bay. And there are a variety of game modes to choose from, including Angry Birds which was my favorite. The technology is so advanced that the computer tracks where your ball goes, as you aim towards the buildings and castle with intention of destruction. While it is all on the monitor in your bay, there is nothing like seeing the castle come crumbling down, a few beers deep with your friends cheers and hoorays.
I haven’t been to any other Top Golf locations, but the one in Las Vegas was a great experience and I’d go back in a heartbeat, in Vegas or one of the many other locations.
